In a normal year, hundreds of thousands of international students come to Canada to continue their studies. But under such circumstances, 2020 was not a normal year. The coronavirus pandemic is wreaking havoc on economies around the world, affecting the immigration process in Canada in many ways, starting with travel bans and restrictions.

They will welcome more than 1 million immigrants between 2020 and 2022 to help blossom their economy. Little did they know when they announced that they would be very disturbed.

Graduates who wish to travel to Canada to further their studies can take online courses temporarily. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have made it possible to take online courses while in their country and still apply for a work permit after graduation.

People often ask how to get their training permit during this pandemic. To receive their study permit, students must submit the following documents:

Documents required to obtain a training permit

  1. Letter of Acceptance from a Special Education Institution (DLI) in Canada,
  2. Proof of entitlement to training permit, with the exception of documents unavailable due to Covid,
  3. Proof of funds,
  4. Certificate of Approval for Quebec (CAQ). This only applies to students applying to schools in Quebec.

After submitting their study permit, students will receive a notification of acceptance. You must then take it to Canada and show it to the Canadian Port of Entry (POE). Due to the closure of the immigration office, students who apply receive half of the study permit.
